Marty Robbins singing El Paso was my Dad's favorite song.  I think he could listen to it everyday, and he could sing every word.

I emailed Gary at VM, he said VM only supplied changers, no components, no full console stereos.  The only made consoles for the VM brand.

Steve,

You are so right, the AS225's are the best for pipe organ.  Everything just blends.  I wish I could remember what my model number was for either receiver.  I may still have a brochure and when I get back to Michigan I'll check.

The GE floor radio looks good Chris, and the GE record player does not sound bad either.  I like VM, so I hope you make another video when that's playing.

They also made radios for Gamble stores.  Trade name Coronado.

Steve,

At one time I had three Sylvania speakers.  The 225's, 125's, and a little set with contact paper for the finish.  My first Sylvania receiver was 50 watts per channel.  I do not Remember the model number.  I sold that one, big mistake, and purchased a 4 channel bridge able receiver.  I do not remember that model number either.  It was the top of the line at that time.  All where under the GTE label.  I will never part with the 225's!  I have several people that want them, no,no,no!  How often do you listen to yours?

I'm not sure VM built complete systems for others, I do think they supplied components.  Maybe Gsry at VM could shed some light.  I think I'll ask.

Actually the bezel looks VMish.  I wonder if VM did supply the guts?  Seeing the guts might help.

Now, it's bothering me why I saw the Bradford name on something at Penney's.

See, you found something and it does look sweet!  I have never personally heard a tube Sylvania anything, but I have heard their portables and component solid state stereos.  They were sweet!  Back in the day my first receiver was Sylvania.  It really kicked butt and I still have the speakers I purchased with the receiver. They are AS225's.

I kind of have the same problem.  It's either to expensive, or when I call it's already gone.
