Sylvania RM300R - 1967
« on: October 21, 2015, 02:54:27 PM »
Found on a pile of lumber at Habitat ReStore after it had just come in, got priced but I nailed it before it was displayed ;D
This is the new kitchen radio 8) and head cook (me) deserves it.

The Sony TFM-9450 is gone and my Zenith H845 Interlude still needs its silver mica disease fixed.

It works fine and sounds like a much bigger radio! Was this a one-shot deal to challenge Zenith?

It seems to me that all the big name manufacturers built a LOT of "commodity" type radios that were nothing special.

At least that one is somewhat interesting looking, hope it cleans up well.

This is my current Kitchen Radio, a nice 1 owner 7 tube Zenith from 1960. Looks right at home in my little Mid Century Modest kitchen circa 1953.

Very nice set. Its hard to beat a Zenith for a good receiver!
It seems that FM was not on many clock radios until the later 60s.
