Zenith 1964 Console factory manual
« on: November 10, 2015, 03:40:56 PM »
At the request of another member, I scanned and posted in DOWNLOADS parts of the Zenith HF11 1964 High Fidelity service manual, which has over 80 pages :o

the interesting thing in THIS manual is that hybrid-SS units are also featured. Early SS amps were much more powerful than the SE 6BQ5 amps, which are enough in most cases. 8)

I don't have the time to scan all the books, but if you need good Zenith Hi-Fi schematics from 1960-64, I have the books. I prefer this to Sams data when its available.

I might take you up on the favor. I have a '62 Zenith MK2685 and have been looking for a schematic and more info on it for some time. If you have it and if it's not too much trouble, could you possibly send a schematic my way?  ;D

Thanks.

I just posted the pages from the 1963 manual for Amp chassis 7K31 and tuner chassis 12K26 from models MK2670-75-85 and model 7500 TV combo in downloads

That was the most powerful of Zenith HiFi's that year!

Thanks so much!

I was taking a look at the schematic which specifies 6CG7's for the phase inverters on this particular amp. Yet my console at home with the same amp uses a pair of 12AX7's instead (both Zenith branded).

Is this an unusual phenomena?
