Here's a One-Off Custom Cabinet built around a Magnavox Tuner/Pre/Amp chassis & speaker. Can't imagine it sounds any better than it did in the original cabinet.

I saw several of these repainted consoles on Craigslist last night.  Believe they call them "shabby chic."  They sure are shabby, all right.

Well that is certainly different!  It's tastefully done and looks to be a nice paint job. If it makes it's owner happy then who are we to argue?

Here's a Magnavox combination stereo/TV.  You need sunglasses on to look at this thing.

OK so look at pic #12 the last one.........

May that CG rest in peace. I hope he didn't part it out. I have extra sets of amps but I bought mine all off eBay. Initially I had a bare cabinet of a CG that I was going to restore but I traded the bare cabinet for a super clean almost perfect CG in cherry finish.

I'm just wondering what the heck he's using that extra transformer for next to the rectifiers?

1971 stereo, upcycled & beautiful. AV cord allows you to hook up your electronic devices. Everything works!

I noted some defenses of old TV sets (not gutting the cabinets).  I'm not really a TV collector, although  have a few.  I've been storing my grandmother's last RCA color TV, an all-tube chassis (CL 670 F).  If anybody wants it, it's free!  FREE! Located in mid-Michigan.  It needs a good home.
