My Zenith Cantata
« on: March 06, 2016, 07:00:26 PM »
Finally after 5 long agonizing weeks I finally brought it home. They had a store sale of 25% off and if you brought 10 cans of food they gave you an additional 25% off.It was $350 so I got it for $175. It's in great shape and all there. It has been plugged in at the store for 5 weeks playing music. Everything works but it doesn't sound like it should. It will not be plugged in until it gets a rebuild. For now it is safe in the house.

Very nice stereo pair.  I love the styling on the front of the main cabinet.

That's one of the nicest Zenith Consoles I've seen. Post the model and chassis numbers and I can put a schematic in downloads.

That's a very nice looking stereo pair!  I would love to see a high res scan of that brochure page.

One thing to watch out for on these is that the "chrome" finish on the tuner face plate seems to be somewhat fragile. I recommend using nothing stronger than a clean cotton cloth damp with water for cleaning the shiny parts.

Totally hip stereo. In that condition, the price is right.
Not many of these type stereos left.
Glad all the birth certificates are with it. The ephemera add
so much to these !
Enjoy,
