SOLD: Restored Magnavox Belvedere Stereo
« on: June 05, 2016, 01:54:55 PM »
Just reposted this on local Craigslist.  Price reduced to $200.  The amp alone is worth that much.

No, just Craigslist.  I don't have any luck selling consoles on eBay.

Larry,
That is one beautiful stereo. If I lived closer, I'd buy it in a second !
There's some lucky person out there who'll receive it.
Did you use a new can capacitor ?  Just curious.

I don't have any luck selling consoles on eBay either but that is where the maximum number of eyeballs are, and you might get a sale out of it just because someone see's it there first.

No, I always replace them underneath the chassis.  I've never restuffed a can.

It it were truly "restored", it wouldn't have a mid-1960s record changer in it.

FYI, this set came with a really ugly, black, no-name changer that barely worked in it.  A friend of mine on this forum gave me the Micromatic changer that I installed in it.

I could care less if it has the "correct" changer in it.  At least it's a Magnavox-branded Collaro.

I didn't mean to put down this fine stereo you have for sale, but I'm a purist when it comes to use of the word "restored".

Here's the ugly black changer that was in the set when I found it.  Luckily whoever installed it didn't butcher the plinth.
