Here is a video showing its performance of it. It sounds amazing with a phone plugged into the tape input on the back of the receiver and I bet if I had better radio reception it would sound good as well.

Here is a bonus pic I found of the console back when it was brand new in 1961. My grandparents bought it that year for Christmas to celebrate finishing building their new house.

Wow, how nice to have that photo of the brand new console!  That made me think... my Dad bought his 1951 (+/-) Magnavox (it really was his device) at about the same time as my parents bought their first house.  Maybe it was a sign of prosperity and a way to celebrate.
