Record changer bench stands
« on: October 19, 2016, 12:01:34 PM »
After reviewing this thread http://vintagehifi.net/index.php/topic,1033.0.html I decided not to bump but to add to it. Larry got a GC stand just like one I used to use when I worked in a TV shop. It was the best by far but the other methods shown in the thread were equally innovative.

So....I decided to post yet another method. The mini-clamps shown are pretty cheap at HF or other tool places and can be doubled so the changer can be tested, then flipped over for adjustments, etc. Placement along rim varies depending on the changer. It works even better on Collaro-Magnavox units

I dismantled a rough RCA consolette to get the plinth and speaker system several years ago.  I nailed a 2x4 on each end of the plinth, and I use that stand for RCA changers.

For other brands... Collaro, VM and Crescent.... I use a 4x4 about 10 inches long to support each side of the changer.
