45 adapter
« on: July 30, 2017, 02:12:39 AM »
i have a w620-02-01 changer, working great, but the 45 adapter (beige one) won't react when it comes time to drop a record.  i tried taking it apart and the action in it works fine, but once it's on the spindle it won't do jack.

any ideas?

My parents had a Magnavox with a W620 turntable and in the 80s the 45 adapter failed due to the plastic support posts on the inside of the adapter disintigrating.  The metal knives could no longer pivot as there was no fulcrum pivot left.  A new adapter is your only option. They are easily found on sites such as eBay.
