The American by Magnavox
« on: January 21, 2018, 08:11:15 PM »
I am new to this. looking for information about a console I bought recently at an antique shop. It is the American by Magnavox. It is in great condition. works well. it is a phonograph with radio.  through much looking online  I have found that the  phonograph is made by  Webster Chicago, model  356-1. I am looking for a replacement cartridge for the  phonograph and would like to know if  a user manual for the console still exists. any information  would be much appreciated.  I have schematics on the phonograph, but pics are not the best after printing out.

Thanks again,

Barb

Hi Barb and Welcome!

Can you post a picture or two?  It really helps when trying to identify.

Thanks,
Bill

here are pics of the  needle cartridge out of the  arm and in the arm, as well as a pic of the cabinet.

Thanks for the help.
