Admiral RC646 Changer Service Literature Needed
« on: December 23, 2017, 05:59:25 PM »
Hello all,
I'm contemplating buying a 1957 Admiral console.
Model # HC 4406.
Sams lists the changer as an RC646, but then gives no
cross reference in Sams database.

I've checked around other databases, without any success.
Anyone have the service sheets on this ?

Thank you,
HiFiFun

Looks like a V-M built device.

These changers were actually in-house Admiral products.

I found the changer info under Admiral Models RC607/ RC637 in Sams 398-7.
They are also in Beitman's, I believe.

They are a very different animal from V-M or RCA changers.
Engineered with different parts of change cycle operation
located on top of base, and under the changer base.
