Need tapped 5.6k resistor in R-20 chassis
« on: March 10, 2018, 07:52:29 PM »
I'm bringing life to a 1958 R-20 receiver, and need to find the 5.6 k ohm tapped wirewound resistor, the white 'firecracker' that is mounted vertically at the rear of the chassis. Any body have one, or know where I can get one?

That sounds like some sort of custom part.  Why not buy two replacement resistors with the full resistance when they're in series and the right division of resistance where they are joined?

Originality and space. It is what I may have to do if this part is nonexistent.
