Sarah Vaughn - Broken Hearted Melody
« on: June 02, 2018, 11:58:25 AM »
Hello Forum-

Today its raining and I am downstairs in the workshop working on stuff and listening to the remarkable Sarah Vaughn singing Broken Hearted Melody from 1960.

My platform is the 1960 era Magnavox console  2ST208L and her singing is perfect on this console.
What are you listening to?  Sourcing from the tube through the laptop to the tape input in the console.

Okay, here is another great musician for those of you who remember.

Try out some of the Earl Grant on the Hammond Organ and play through your Magnavox.  Wow!

Ebb Tide is a great one to try.

I put a stack of records on yesterday morning as I was working in the basement trying to get a record changer to behave.  Sarah Vaughn was one of the records along with Jackie Gleason and his orchestra and a couple of classical albums.  I also have two or three Earl Grant playing organ and or piano.  I guess I should dig them out and take a listen.  Didn't get the changer fixed but enjoyed the music.  :)
