Thanks for the reply, but I bought a complete amp on Ebay.
This is probably a better way to go since there is no way of knowing what other problems may exist with this amp.

I'm glad you found a replacement.  I would replace the electrolytic caps on your tuner too, just to be safe.  I don't know if the amp was recapped or not, but I'm sure you know to check before powering the unit up.  We don't want another casualty.  I'm sure it's going to sound impressive!

If your model number starts in "3", that means it was the third run of the series, i.e. built the third year the series was extant.  Since the little Imperial started in 1960, (late) yours would probably be a late 1962.  You likely made the right move getting another amp and starting over.  Good luck.
