I've got one in mahogany.  It's a nice, well-designed device.  Mine's a Model 566.  I thought the 565 was the table-model version.  Could be wrong.

I recapped my 566 and still have a low-level hum. I haven't done much diagnosis.  Any dieas?

Output tubes with heater to cathode leakage is a possibility.  You could also try reversing the AC plug in the wall.

Maybe I should buy a new pair of 6BQ5s.  Seems to me that I had to snag one from my old-tube collection when I found the V-M.  I've been using it with an FM tuner and maybe I was getting some grounding issues too.

The local sailboat gets hauled out tomorrow at 10 a.m.and with fall coming, that means more indoor activities.
