Restuffing Can Caps
« on: November 25, 2018, 09:47:45 PM »
Here's a thread about restuffing can caps.  I have done some this way and think it's a very good way to get the job done.  It's very hard to tell that the can has been apart when looking at it from the top side.  It references Scott but this method should work for just about any can.

The only thing that I do different is to take a Dremel and grind the bottom surface down some but not too far before taking a file to it.  It speeds the process up a little.  The file allows you to keep the surface flat.  I use a very small ball peen hammer to tap the sides back over.
