Round Collaro record changer connector
« on: August 11, 2019, 02:25:05 PM »
I have been trying to identify the round 4 pin connector used on Magnavox Collaro record changers from the early 50's. I have even tried using what is on the connector without any success. Does anyone know a part number I can lookup to see where I can buy a few of these.

That was a fairly standard connector but damned if I know its name.  If nobody esle can come up with it, remind me in a few days and I'll go out in the garage and dig out one of my '60s Allied catalogs.

I'd call it a radio speaker plug.  That plug is like the one on the GE radio I'm working on.  You might try Mark Oppat to see if he has one.
I don't need Google.  My wife says she knows everything.

It's an "Amphenol" connector.  The guys on ARF agree with my suggestion.  Try Mark Oppat.  Good luck.   ;)

It may be this one http://www.radiodaze.com/miniature-plug-4-pin-item-plg-4-bmin/

Thank you very much. I knew there was a vendor who had these but for the life of me couldn't remember who. I just ordered 4 of them.
