Round Collaro record changer connector
« on: August 11, 2019, 02:25:05 PM »
I have been trying to identify the round 4 pin connector used on Magnavox Collaro record changers from the early 50's. I have even tried using what is on the connector without any success. Does anyone know a part number I can lookup to see where I can buy a few of these.

That was a fairly standard connector but damned if I know its name.  If nobody esle can come up with it, remind me in a few days and I'll go out in the garage and dig out one of my '60s Allied catalogs.

I'd call it a radio speaker plug.  That plug is like the one on the GE radio I'm working on.  You might try Mark Oppat to see if he has one.
I don't need Google.  My wife says she knows everything.

It's an "Amphenol" connector.  The guys on ARF agree with my suggestion.  Try Mark Oppat.  Good luck.   ;)

It may be this one http://www.radiodaze.com/miniature-plug-4-pin-item-plg-4-bmin/

Thank you very much. I knew there was a vendor who had these but for the life of me couldn't remember who. I just ordered 4 of them.

Man, I love this forum.  What I like the most is the fact people are actually willing to HELP!  Some forums have a bunch of a--ho.. who want to criticize, scrutinize, argue every little minute point, and tell you how stupid you are every chance they get.

To me, this is refreshing to see people helping one another....   :)
