This should be a hybrid but it still should sound good.  I really like the looks of it.

That is good looking!  Is the changer a Garrard or Dual?  It looks like it could be either.  Six speakers so you are correct, it should sound good.  I looked here:

To see if I could find the exact photo.  I came close, but no cigar.

It does look like it's an Elac Miracord.  I looked on Ebay and it looks like the changers sell for more than what they're asking for this whole console.

Gone. My 1965 Fisher Ambassador has a Dual 1019 in it.

You are correct, I never think of a Elac Miracord.

The ELAC TTs were good ones, both the '62 Fisher Executive and President I had once had one, the latter also had an Ampex tape deck. These were probably the best factory consoles that one could buy then, imo, the Prez retailing for well over 2 grand, but one area I felt they were lacking in was speakers and how they were enclosed. Good but nothing special and not up to the rest of it, again imo.

ELAC Miracord 10s were in my opinion as good as any Garrard; the Type A was the latter's best at the time. I don't know much about Dual prior to the 1009, but have had several of those excellent TTs, they came out around '64-5 I think?  A real classic. For their price class imo a Fisher Prez should have had a Thorens 124, but they obviously felt their audience wanted an automatic.

In Canada RCA's better mid-late '60s consoles had a choice of 4 or 5 optional TTs, from a "meh" BSR to Garrard AT-60 to Garrard Lab 80 and Dual 1019. I always wondered why better US console makers didn't offer that choice!
