It took me a little while to find the new topic button.  I forget real easy.   ;D
This one might be worthwhile for somebody close.

Hope somebody snags it and restores. I kinda like those two-piece models.

I may have to snag that this weekend.  2.5 hour drive each direction, but would be worth it.

I just read Danny's post and thought of you Trevor.  Keep or flip, it should be yours.

Good, I'm glad you are getting it.  I just went to the 1959 brochure to take a look at the Berkley.  It should be a good performer.

Looks like it has a 175 amp.  I've heard they sound nice.

The '59 Berkley is home.  It needs some work done to it, at sometime, somebody added switches to it for external speakers and it has a rats nest of wiring to take out.   The remote speaker also needs its lid refinished.  Everything else is looking good, all original tubes, from what I can see.  It is incredibly dirty right now, time to clean it up and figure out the next steps.

Here is the Google Photo album I have started for it.  I have it sitting in front of my continental right now for size comparison  (my continental has taller legs than normal, I'm guessing they would normally be the same height.)

Congrats Trevor!   You will have it up and running in no time.  The controls are interesting, I have never seen a Magnavox with a setup like that before.  In the photos from the ad I noticed that someone had attached that board on the back and I wondered what that was.  Now we know.  Thank you for sharing the photos, I look forward to watching your progress.

The good luck is that the damaged finish is one big flat surface--much easier to deal with than with moldings and such.

Now tell us about your photo posting site.  I used "Google Drive" for something a while ago and now don't remember how I did it.  But I think it just for sending a big attachment, not for others to click into.

I am using Google Photos, which is great for photo sharing.  I believe you get 20 GB of storage with a Google account.  Once you setup your album, you just create a share link from the sharing option.

Google Drive works for files as well as pictures.  I have used Google Drive for photos, but it doesn't work as well as Photos does for photo albums as it works like a folder does on your computer.

I guess we'll all need to learn how to do Google Drive to make up for inability to post pics.
