Magnavox Concert Grand Remote volume
« on: February 25, 2015, 09:13:22 PM »
My Concert Grand changes volume with the remote way too fast.  It goes from o to full volume in just about 5 seconds!  Years ago I took the motor out because it didn't work.  A while back I disassembled it, cleaned the rotor and so forth, and put it back in.  It works but again changes volume really really fast.  Is there a resistor or something coming off that motor that I lost?  Any ideas would be of help.  Thank you all!!  Or if anyone has a good picture of the volume control motor that might help.  Thanks again!

Sorry!  I forgot I asked this question already.  My mistake.  Please forgive.

Mine is somewhat slow but not too slow. There is a small coil looking thing that connects to it. Its red in color.

I believe that is the choke coil.  I'm not sure if that might be the problem or not.  I'll look into it.  Thank you!
