My 1956 Magnavox Provincial Serenade has the quasi-biamp setup, as I call it--one set of output tubes (in parallel push-pull) but two output transformers, one for the woofers and one for the horn.  It turns out that Philco's high-end unit from 1936-37 had the same concept.  Read about the 37-690 here:

I have read all about that radio, and it is some radio.  Big and deluxe all over, and look how many speakers.  I think it's kind of like the Zenith, and Crosley units.
