V-M power switches
« : February 26, 2020, 04:02:45 PM »
This is a problem I have had with two changers and may be due to failing plastic cases or retaining tabs, not contacts or springs. I am posting this because it is the only fix. I have tried other methods but this is what needs done.

If any one of the three tabs that holds the switch to the casting breaks, the switch will not operate or it will simply fall out. The switch also acts as a mechanical detent for the changer off-on-rej, so it will not work without one, even a jury-rigged one.

I sent two of the switches (clear plastic) as cores to Voice of Music, as they are needed for making more. Gary will remanufacture the plastic type switch used on most V-M 1200 series, and send you a rebuilt one rated at 3 amps and in clear green plastic, and they snap right in!

I don't need Google.  My wife says she knows everything.
