OK... I'm Jealous... I had a chance at one of these last fall....this one was later ... around mid sixties ... same deal, they wanted it gone and dropped the price to $50 bucks just to get rid of it... it was 250 miles away in Chicago... but I was willing to go after it, but he sold it before I could get it...looked like new and it weighed a ton also...

This one, being in south Detroit, was a no brainer to get.  There is a 1001 for sale in Detroit right now.  They are asking toooooo much for it though.
My Consoles:
1962 Motorola SK112CW-FM, All original tubes
1958 Magnavox Continental - DIY Concert Grand!
1957 Magnavox Brittany - Amp 148 Magic!

There's something weird with the 1001 ad, I think it's because the seller listed it on the Vintage Stereo Consoles facebook page.  He has it listed at $1400, and I don't think its been restored at all.

Thanks Trevor!   At $1400.00 they will probably have it for a long, long time.  I think, and please correct me if I'm wrong, the 1001 has the same guts as the one I linked to Elton in the post before your response.  The 1001 still has the tape deck and the horns, but the 1001 has the 6V6 amp and the new looked for the controls and tuner.  I wonder how the 1001 sounds compared to yours?
